Experts in the UK and Japan caught 17 strange looking fish near Japan. Researchers are very excited about the new fish they found. They caught this fish that is living under 6000 meters under the ocean. These snailfish live in total darkness and near-freezing temperature because in the part of the ocean they live sunlight cant reach them. These fish feeds on thousands of shrimp like creatures. Researchers found out that they live in groups. These are one of the animals that live in one of the most extreme environments on Earth.

It's pretty cool that there are so many kinds of animals that we have never noticed before.

It's pretty cool that there are so many kinds of unknown species. Do you think that if we found out new species, will they let us name it?
